KLEE Tower Instructions: Class D airspace is in operation. Tower Freq as normal. Seaplanes, please approach the class "D"airspace from the East and stay East of the airport until on the water. Do NOT overfly the runways or airport. Departures take off and head east, not overflying airport, exit the airspace on easterly heading.
Bring your own chairs, games, toys, etc. Lets have some fun!
Parking: There's 3 places to park:
Seaplane apron, seaplane dock, or FBO (landplanes and car riders only).
1: The Seaplane apron next to ramp/dock is a non-movement area, so tower isn't in charge of taxing inside the apron/water. On apron, follow signals from other pilots that are helping you park. When parking here, please park close to each other, so there is enough parking for the rest of the planes. Please help keep things clean and don't litter, I will bring trash bags to clean up afterwards, but please do you part. If the winds are not favorable for water operations, runways available with tower.
2: Tied up to seaplane dock. This is mainly for straight floatplanes (NOT amphibians). The straight floatplanes will need priority to dock since they don't have wheels, so if you have wheels, please park in other location. Bring your own lines, fenders, and equipment for docking.
3: At Sunair FBO ramp. For overflow airplane parking. The FBO has one vehicle that will help shuttle those back and forth, but I am trying to keep vehicle traffic to a minimum. Not inviting car riders, sorry, it's a whole process getting people to/from FBO to apron across airport.
Please buy fuel while at KLEE to help the FBO who is helping us.
Fuel truck will be coming over to apron with credit card machine in truck.
Bring your own lines/anchors/ tiedowns/chalks/etc.
Feel free to invite friends, but have them RSVP to me here:
FloridaSeaplanes@hotmail.com with
airplane callsign, type, and people on board.

The airport has a great water ramp, if conditions permit, land on water and taxi up ramp.
