Single or Multiengine Sea Course Overview
Multiengine seaplane training available in a G44A Grumman Widgeon with Continental 0-470, 240 h.p. engines and state of the art King Avionics. The cost is $450.00 per flight hour. Five hours of flight time and five hours of ground instruction are normal, ground school materials are provided. Florida Seaplanes specializes in multiengine seaplane ratings to ATP standards. Our course not only provides the essential knowledge and experience for passing the FAA checkflight, but also introduces the student to many diverse situations which a seaplane pilot may encounter, including takeoffs and landings in rivers, large and small lakes and operating from busy harbors. As a graduate, you will leave with a level of confidence and knowledge that will enable you to operate safely in the most demanding of situations. Our goal is to provide you maximum flight and ground training effectiveness with a minimum amount of time and money expended. We do our best to ensure that the course is a fun experience for each student, regardless of background. It is recommended that you are current, having flown recently. Our course completion will satisfy biennial flight review requirements. Ratings offered are private, commercial, and airline transport pilot. To enroll, please call, write, or e-mail. We will send you the ground school materials in advance or you may pick them up at one of our sites. A deposit (refundable) of $100 is required prior to shipping of course materials. Checks, cash, traveler's checks, and money orders are accepted. We are close to Disney, so bring the family for lots of fun! A course discount of 5 percent is allowed for buddy system training.
